TO WIN OR TO LOSE?

In the hope to achieve something in life,
we put in efforts and hard we strive;

These efforts,they say,are never wasted,
today or tomorrow,they take you to the position we always wanted;

To pacify and calm,is the only thing one can do,
for a person who tried but failed in his pursuit;

This rat-race we all want to win,
to create a name in the world that we are living in;

This world of competition changes us as people,
fills us with jealousy and envy for our companions who become the achievers;

So is the name,the fame that we win in this race,
worth the effort,the change,the pain?

BLESSING OR BANE

Human life,they say,is a blessing in disgusie,
result it is of good deeds performed in some other life;

The power to think,the opportunity to laugh,
the power to express what we think of,
it is we the humans who have it all;

But as the world grows and develops,
crisis and complexities tend to surmount us;

To overcome these complexities ,it seems a herculean task,
For the people around have become tw0-faced,as if wearing a mask;

The blessing in disguise that we earlier used to cherish,
we hope and pray now,for it to perish;

We now wish to emancipate from the cycle of birth and rebirth,
cos the blessing in disguise,in today's world,has lost its worth.

FIRST DAY

Strangers at first, we met,
that day i will not forget;

It didnt take much time for us to mingle,
and we were friends by the time for jingle;

From singles to a group we created a bang,
bunking all the classes that one possibly can;

Teachers staff all had tough times,
imposed on us were punishments and fines;

But,now the golden days that together we spent,
are like all the good things that come to an end.

FRIEND

Far and away,wherever we land,
i hope the distances between us,may never expand;

The roots of our friendship,wherever they lay,
i hope they strengthen day by day;

So now my friend as time parts our ways,
i wish to see you in my thoughts,whenever i pray.

LOVE

Love,the greatest feeling that God has made,
is something one can never escape;

The emotions and tenderness,the heart produces,
is something which fills life with different fragrances;

Love changes the way to be,
love becomes the medicine to heal;

Love at times has a difficult path to tread,
love is a fruit that everyone needs to be fed;

Love is the power that helps overcome fear,
love is the water that makes your heart crystal clear;

So,whenever your heart beats and pounds,
try to listen to the name that it calls out.

MISTAKES

Mistakes in our lives,
we would always want to undo;
but its from these mistakes,
that we learn somethings too;

Life is all about learning and living,
help,we need sometimes to move on after falling;
mistakes are the helping hands that rescue after the falls,
creating comfortable paths to walk us through;

Mistakes you should never be afraid of,
they are for the betterment for our future thereon;
if there is a mistake that is committed,
it is meant to makes us aware to walk carefully ahead.

FAREWELL

As i ponder and look back in time,
i cherish the memories that are all mine;

Friends and mates were all my support,
whenever i felt weak,whenever i needed them the most;

Funs and fights created my beautiful world,
and for all this i thank the Master of this world;

But now as the time has come to bid goodbyes,
the whole of my beautiful world dances in my eyes;

I hope this world never withers away,
distances due to time may never part us away.
